Poached Egg Recipe

Here’s an effortless method for crafting Poached Eggs. If you’re aiming to whip up a batch for your next brunch or breakfast, this recipe fits the bill perfectly, offering simplicity and ease.

  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • Desired number of eggs (instructions provided for two eggs)
  • Nonstick cooking spray

For each egg, allocate:

  • 3 tablespoons of water out of a total of 6 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Spray each ramekin or custard cup with nonstick cooking spray before placing them in the air fryer basket.
  2. Add 3 teaspoons of water to each cup.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for five minutes with the water-filled cups inside.
  4. Open the air fryer carefully to prevent water spillage from the cups, then crack one egg into each cup.
    • Note: The hot water may start cooking the egg whites during this process.
  5. Cook for 5–6 minutes at 360 degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. Once the cooking time elapses, check the eggs. Avoid overcooking unless you prefer a firmer yolk, as they will continue to cook in the hot water.

Note

This method hasn’t been tested with silicone egg cups. We don’t recommend using them for this recipe as they don’t conduct heat effectively.
